About four years ago The Netherlands banned Zwarte Piet, the soot-faced helper of Sinterklaas when the saint arrives by boat to cheer all the children on 6 December. Zwarte Piet is the one that hits out with his leather-bag-tipped stick at naughty children, thus marking them for not receiving gifts. So he was banned, though not in Belgium where he still arrives with Sinterklaas as scheduled. Then mid-2020 Facebook banned Zwarte Piet and a couple of months later, Google. Political correctness gone nuts. And now it seems, Wales has been hit, as well. Good rant.
